DFL TRIP HAMBURG & KIEL

Two cities, two matches, and a group of international fans on a unique Bundesliga experience. GRIT Sports followed the DFL on a two-day journey through Hamburg and Kiel – capturing the passion, atmosphere, and stories along the way.

As part of its global fan engagement strategy, Bundesliga International GmbH invited a group of international supporters to experience the unique atmosphere of German football first-hand. Over two packed days, the journey led through two cities and two matchdays – starting with HSV vs. 1. FC Kaiserslautern in Hamburg, followed by Holstein Kiel vs. Bayer Leverkusen in the north. GRIT Sports was there to document the full experience.


From stadium emotions to cultural impressions and travel moments in between, we created a fast-paced recap with a documentary edge – focused on storytelling that was informative, engaging, and full of energy. The challenge was to keep up with the group’s dynamic schedule while capturing the authenticity and excitement of each stop along the way.

The result: a compact but powerful video that blends the international spirit of the Bundesliga with local fan culture. Honest reactions, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and emotional highlights made this project more than just a match recap – it became a visual celebration of how football brings people together.
