At GRIT Sports, not every month looks the same. That is kind of the point. Some weeks are built around football stadiums, creator activations and last minute live edits. Others take us to open water races, brand shoots, community activations or full inhouse productions. This month had all of that.
Across the past few weeks, we produced, edited and delivered more than 40 content pieces across all platforms. Together, those pieces generated 20+ million impressions. But the numbers only tell a part of the story.
What matters most is what happened behind the scenes: fast turnarounds, different sports and therefore requirements, different communities, different brand challenges and a team moving between Barcelona, Frankfurt, Manchester, Budapest, Herzogenaurach, Mallorca, Cologne and the Simssee.
That is why we are starting this new monthly blog format.
From now on, we want to take you behind the scenes once a month and show what really happens at GRIT. The projects, the partners, the places and the pace behind our work.
OneFootball: From El Clásico To The UCL Finals Weekend
With OneFootball, this month was all about live content and big football moments.
We started in Barcelona around El Clásico, supporting a Nike TOMA event and the match with live delivery. The goal was simple: create content while the moment is still happening and make sure it feels native to the platform, the game and the audience.
From there, we moved to Frankfurt for “Mario meets Mario”, a project with Mario Götze and Nintendo that brought football and gaming together in a fun activation. After that, it was straight to Manchester and the Etihad Stadium, where we covered the Creator Game.
The biggest project of the month came in Budapest though, during the UCL Finals Weekend. Together with OneFootball and partners like FedEx and Just Eat, we live edited 20+ pieces in three days. Several million impressions included.
During the same stretch, we also handled a shoot with two DFB national team players in Herzogenaurach. A lot of miles, a lot of exports and a lot of GRIT Sports in Action on Full-Display.
DFB: Fast Turnaround, Big Emotions
Together with the DFB, we worked on the squad announcement at very short notice and helped bring an emotional campaign to life.
Projects like this are not about being loud. They are about getting the feeling right. The story was strong, the timing was tight and every detail had to land.
For us, it was a good reminder that speed and emotion can work together when the idea is clear and the team knows what the moment needs.
Bitpanda: Native Brand Integration In The Right Moments
With Bitpanda, the focus this month was brand presence that does not feel forced.
We supported several influencer and creator events where the goal was to make the brand part of the moment instead of just placing it somewhere. That means understanding the setting, the people on site and the content logic of each platform.
One part of the month was a shoot at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, a setting that naturally fits the Bitpanda brand world. To round things off, we accompanied the Creator House in Mallorca with a strong setup, several live deliveries and images for the creators on site.
Finance, creators, events and live content. Pretty good mix.
Interwetten: A Full Inhouse Production
One internal highlight was our full inhouse production for Interwetten.
The project brought together Lothar Matthäus and the New England Patriots for Interwetten. From idea to execution, a lot of moving parts had to come together, from concept and production planning to the actual shoot.
We cannot reveal everything yet, but the final results are steadily going live during the Football World Cup.
For us, this project was special because it showed how much we can build directly from inside GRIT.
Decathlon: Keeping The Partnership Organic
We have been working with Decathlon for several seasons around Icon League x TwoStripesUnited. This month, another round of matchday activations was on the schedule.
The challenge is always the same: How do you activate a broad sports brand in a football and creator environment without making it feel like classic advertising?
Part of the answer were the social challenges we produced in Cologne together with Robert Andrich and Influencer Becci (bitte Namen mal auf Insta checken). On top of that, we supported the community management across Decathlon channels, chats and Instagram and boy did we exchel at that. Secret shoutout to Emil, even though he is writing the article.
Because in the end, it is not only about posting content. It is about making the community feel involved.
AOWC: Open Water, Alpine Views And A Strong Community
Last but not least: the Alpen Open Water Cup at the Simssee.
This project feels different from stadiums, creator houses and big activations, but that is exactly why it is special.
The swim series brings open water swimming to the Alpine region and has built a strong community over the past years. We fully manage the social account from posting, Community Management, Graphic Design and everything else attached and also cover the races on site, capturing the people, the landscape, the energy in the water and the familiar feeling around the event.
What This Month Showed Us
This was the first edition of our monthly GRIT recap.
20+ million impressions. More than 40 content pieces across all platforms. Projects across football, creators, brands, live delivery, inhouse production, community management and open water swimming.
More importantly, it showed how versatile GRIT Sports really is.
Different sports. Different brands. Different platforms. Same approach: understand the moment and sport, move fast and create content that belongs and leaves a lasting impression
See you next month.
