For the VfB Stuttgart x Pepsi production, we were brought into the project through 360Media around one week before the scheduled shoot. An initial concept had already been outlined. Our role was to refine the idea, sharpen the creative structure, and turn it into a production-ready setup within a very short timeframe.
At the center of the project was the VfB Stuttgart x Pepsi collection. The creative framework was built around the shared reference to ‘More Since 1893’, connecting the partnership, the product, and the club environment through one clear visual idea.
The goal was not to create a classic product shoot.
It was to build a social-first piece that placed the collection inside a natural football setting, with the brand and club elements integrated throughout the story.
From Concept to Production Setup
The first step was to make the existing concept ready for execution. The storyboard already defined the main direction: a bar setting, selected 1893 references (coincidentally the founding year of both parties), Pepsi and collection moments, and a transition into the stadium. Based on that, we focused on aligning the idea with the actual production requirements: locations, timing, crew, logistics, and on-set workflow.
Feedback needed to be structured. Decisions had to be made quickly. 360Media, Pepsi, VfB Stuttgart, the broader team, and all production departments were kept closely aligned throughout the preparation phase. That allowed us to clarify open points, move quickly through approvals, and build the full production setup within a short window.
Production Scope
The final setup involved around 35 people on set. This included 12 extras, A and B camera, lighting, producer, director, and the wider production team. The shoot took place across two locations, with up to ten lights on set depending on the scene and setup.
For a production of this scale, the timeframe was compact and very much tight.
The main challenge was to create a setup that covered the creative requirements while staying efficient enough to work within the available schedule. That meant clear responsibilities, realistic planning, and a crew structure that could move fast without adding unnecessary complexity.
Execution Through Our Network
The production was covered through our own network. This allowed us to bring together the required team at short notice and keep the setup lean. Instead of scaling the production beyond what was needed, we focused on building a clear workflow for both preparation and shoot day. The execution included several key elements: location management, lighting setups, coordination of extras, product placement, collection visibility, camera movement, and the transition from the bar setting into the stadium.
Despite the short preparation time and a few logistical challenges, the shoot was executed as planned.
Connecting Collection, Brand, and Club Environment
A central part of the production was the integration of the VfB Stuttgart x Pepsi collection.
The collection had to be visible, but not staged in isolation. It needed to sit naturally within the world of the film: bar atmosphere, fan context, Pepsi product moments, and the later reveal inside the stadium. The 1893 reference supported the concept through selected details in the background. It gave the film a clear creative structure without overloading the story. This kept the focus on the collection and the final content, while still connecting the partnership to a simple and recognizable visual idea.
Final Delivery
The final output consisted of four assets: One main piece, one teaser, one mood shot video and a prolonging Social Reel.
All four pieces were created from one production setup and followed the same creative direction. For us, the project shows how a larger production scope can be executed within a short timeframe when concept, planning, communication, and network are aligned. Two locations, a larger team, multiple lighting setups, extras, and several deliverables would usually require a longer preparation phase. In this case, the production was planned and executed within roughly one week.
Thank you to 360Media, Pepsi, VfB Stuttgart, and everyone involved. We are looking forward to continuing the collaboration.
